Ellen's Christmas Gift Guide - Day Five

Ellen's Christmas Gift Guide - Island-ish

Gift Idea:

Fabulous coastal items from Island-ish.

Ideal Gift For:

Sisters, nieces, hostesses, or really any girlfriends in need of some relaxing “me time.”

Why I Love This Gift:

Whenever I go home to Nanaimo, I visit Island-ish. It reinforces my Island-girl roots in a big way. And… when I go, I plan to be there for a good long time. It’s a store packed with treasures – unique clothes (hooray for discovering Grace & Lace there!), beautiful, locally-made jewellery (I love my sea glass-inspired earrings), hand-made signs (my Vancouver Island sign is on the wall) and luscious local toiletries (Nanaimo bar soap, friends. No calories.). I love this store.

And, Kelly & Shannon, the ladies who own it, are just as lovely. So, when I was doing a gift guide, I couldn’t leave them out. You need to know about them, whether you’re in Nanaimo or Newfoundland because online shopping is a great option.

Friends, the girls totally came through. They pulled together an Island-inspired collection just for you! It’s like me in a box. Oh, my, did I feel homesick opening it up.

Know anyone who could use a laid-back Island vibe? Or someone who could use a spa-day but doesn’t have a babysitter? Have a hostess who spoils you over the holidays? Here’s how to spoil her at home. And, maybe pick something up for yourself.

The Sealuxe sea-glass soap (SO PRETTY and a great stocking stuffer or hostess gift), Seaweed bath tea (turn your bath into a true spa!), and Seaweed face mask are so luxurious. The Rainwater soap (made with real Vancouver Island rainwater!) makes me long for the Island.

The tiny Island time ring dish might just sneak its way onto my dresser, and the starfish will be a pretty coastal touch on top of a gift.

And tucked into our collection to make it more cozy are the fab Grace & Lace boot cuffs (so cute on skinny jeans or leggings with a boot).

Honestly, you won’t go wrong at this store. Just make sure you have enough time to shop for yourself, as well.
